Innerleithen and District Amateur Operatic Society will celebrate its Centenary during the 2008-09 season and plans are in hand to make it a year to remember! Read on to find out how you can help.

CENTENARY BOOK

To mark the Centenary in 2008-09, we are to produce a book about the Society and we are looking to collect photos/memorabilia and memories...

If you have ANY stories to tell about your time with the Society, please email here

Any old photos or memorabilia would also be appreciated on loan. These should be marked with your name and any other details and put in an envelope and passed to me. Everything will be returned and copies may also be used in the Centenary Exhibition.

Thank you, in anticipation for your support. I’m sure we can produce a really good book that will act as a reminder of all the brilliant shows, friendships, fun, laughter, sad times and happy times that 100 years of “The Opera” have given us.

CENTENARY EVENTS & FUND-RAISING

We need to raise extra funds over the next few months to help fund our plans for the Centenary, including:
? Centenary book
? Centenary Revue (11-13 September 2008)
? Centenary exhibition (St. Ronan’s Wells, Summer 2009)
? Centenary Ball (September 2009)
? Centenary logo and merchandise

We have already organised some fund-raisers, including:
? Garden Fete (2005, approx. £700)
? Craft Fair (2006, approx. £500)

We need YOUR help with the following:
? Garden Fete (Saturday 30 June 2007, Rhuallan, Peebles Road, Innerleithen, 2-4pm)
? Christmas Craft Fair (Saturday 17 November, Memorial Hall, 9.30am-12.30pm)
