Lochpark

This is a Lamb sale at Lochpark, Hawick. After the area was an Auction Ring it was something to do with railway maintenance, now it is Lochpark Industrial Estate, with lots of local businesses, at one time it actually had a Loch or Pond, but it was drained due to public pressure because of the smell! 1882

Pavilion

The Pavilion Theatre, (The Piv), Hawick, has now been replaced by Boots the Chemist and Mackays. 1954.

Sandbed

Tower Knowe

Tower Knowe, Hawick, this is the procession for children that happens every year to the towns
Vertish Hill Sports at the golf course, the children get a gift of money when they get there. 1938.

Woolworths

The original shop front of the Hawick branch of Woolworth's where their policy was:'Nothing in these stores over 6d'
(Equivalent to 2 1/2 pence in today's money). 1931.
