The Salmon Ladder on the River Teviot in Hawick, also known as 'The Cauld'. Geoff Rudderham tells me that the cauld was refurbished in 1965-66 when they put in the piles and new salmon ladder. He remembers the builders getting into bother as their pile drivers were upsetting the pupils in the High School to the left of the photo, who were sitting their exams at the time. Thank's for that Geoff!!
